We are excited to announce that our real estate brokerage was ninth out of more than 1,400 BHHS real estate franchisees for their fundraising efforts in 2019 for the Sunshine Kids Foundation, which is a foundation that provides national, one-week activities, free of charge for young cancer patients from across the country.
Money raised locally supports children in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Representatives from BHHSPremier Properties accepted this award for raising more than $52,000 at the annual BHHS Sales Conference in Nashville, TN on March 8th, 2020.
“We are elated to be ninth for fundraising! Our team comes together to help the kids in our region battling cancer. Our real estate agents volunteer at events, help raise awareness and donate a percentage of their commission to the cause throughout the year,” said Maureen Bartelt, Broker Associate at BHHS Premier Properties.
Team members from BHHS Premier Properties host an annual golf tournament to support this organization throughout the year. This year’s tournament is slated for Monday, August 10.
“It’s a phenomenal experience to meet the children we are helping and their families at events throughout the year,” said Tyrone Leslie, President and CEO of BHHSPremier Properties. “They have all been through a lot and deserve to smile and experience trips that the Sunshine Kids Foundation provides.”
About the Sunshine Kids Foundation
Every year The Sunshine Kids Foundation provides national, one-week activities, free of charge for young cancer patients from across the country. Since the founding of The Sunshine Kids in 1982, they have had the opportunity to provide positive and exciting experiences for thousands of young cancer patients from across North America. As with every national trip they provide, the cancer patients have the opportunity to meet other kids who have gone through the same painful treatments and feelings of isolation that they have experienced. These activities provide a lifetime of support and knowing that they are not alone in their fight against cancer. Visit sunshinekidsfargo.com/ for more details.
