You’ve found your dream home and you are thinking about making an offer. Before you take that final step, consider a few things first to feel more confident in your decision.
Research the local real estate market to know if it is hot or cold. In a hot market your offer will need to be more competitive and you’ll have less bargaining power.
Check for similar properties in the area that have recently sold and know what they sold for.
Check how many days the property has been on the market.
Search for neighborhood information online or, best of all, talk to friends and neighbors about neighborhood amenities and schools.
Test your commute to know how long will it take you to get to work each day.
Know exactly what your taxes, insurance, utilities and any other fees might be for the new home.
The more information you obtain, the more comfortable you’ll be when making an offer. So… if you have any unanswered questions, be sure to ask your REALTOR®!
