You’ll want to find a reputable moving company that will be gentle with your possessions and deliver them in a timely fashion. Ask your REALTORE® to suggest moving companies their clients have had successful experiences with. Ask your friends, family and neighbors who they would recommend.
Get estimates from at least three companies. Ask each company how long they’ve been in business. Ask about their insurance coverage. Ask how they handle fragile or extremely heavy items. How many movers will be on the crew for your move? Are boxes and blankets included? And, most importantly, ask for – and check – their references. You can also search the Internet for reviews and contact your local Better Business Bureau to see if any complaints have been filed.
